This contemporary cocktail table combines the natural beauty of wood and the machine aesthetic of metal. The table is called Séparé as a testament to its final form which is stackable.
Each table is comprised of a single block of wood cut in a 1:3 proportion. The two pieces are then separated from one another: one piece becomes the base; and the other becomes the top.
The pieces are then fixed by a satin anodized aluminum extruded channel. A blue Articidol dye was applied to accentuate the pores of the wood in contrast to the machined lines of the channel.
